Our Philosophy on Service and Repairs:
Your computer is important to you. You use it daily and in all sorts of situations. Today, computers are integrated into our daily lives more than at any point in history. At Simply MacTastic we recognize that your computer is important to you, and we also realize that any interruption in being able to use it can often cause significant challenges for you. As such, our goal is to have your computer back in your hands as fast as possible. We stock a number of common parts that often means a repair can be completed the same day you bring your machine in to us. In cases where we don't have the required part in stock, we can often remove your hard drive and place it in a 'loaner' machine so that you can get right back to work while waiting for your part to come in. This leaves you with minimal down time (if any).
While your machine is here, it's treated like it's one of our own. We take the utmost care with each machine being repaired. That means we pay attention to the finer details, such as bending the proper tabs back into place, making sure every screw is accounted for and put back in straight. We take a great measure of pride in your smile and satisfaction when the job is complete.
We use genuine replacement parts. We don't use B-Grade parts or knock-offs from China. Your computer will thank us for it, and we're pretty sure you will too in the long run!
Specialized Services:
Operating System Installation - If your computer has crashed, or no longer boots properly, chances are it needs the operating system re-installed. We will install, and verify the new installation is updated properly, and working properly for you. This service is also a great idea if you've purchased a used computer and want to make sure you're starting out with a clean system and no hidden spyware or key loggers. $50-$75
Tune-up and Cleaning - Think of this as being like a day at the spa for your macbook. We open the machine, clean it all out with compressed air, and clean the casing and screen. With the exterior taken care of, we move the the computer itself, providing a clean, fresh installation of OS X for you. This is an ideal service if you feel like your computer is no longer performing as well as it once did, or if you've bought a used computer and want to be sure you're starting out using it in the best possible way. $75
Hard Drive Failure/Data Recovery - It happens at the worst time, your hard drive fails taking all your files with it. For most of us, backing our files up is something that you were going to get to some day when you had time. Afterall, hard drive failures tend to happen to everyone else. The truth is a hard drive can fail at any point in time, on any machine (not just old or over used machines). We will attempt to recover as many of your files as possible for you using powerful recovery software. Results can vary depending on the state of the drive after failure. If we recover nothing, you pay nothing. Prices starting as low as $50.
LCD Screen Replacement - It's an unfortunate part of life. Reality is accidents happen. Even though you're not thrilled your MacBook screen has been broken, rest assured we can have your MacBook back up and running usually the same day, for a fraction of the cost that Apple quoted you. We do more screen replacements in a given year than anything else, using genuine A Grade parts, along with a 3 year replacement warranty. Older standard MacBooks (2006- mid 2009) starting at $275. Newer (Late 2009 and up) 13" White Unibody MacBooks starting at $180, and Unibody MacBook Pro Models (Late 2008-2012) starting at $200.
Repairs - Any number of things can go wrong with your computer from something simple, to something complex. Our goal is to get your computer back up and running properly, for the lowest price possible. In most cases, diagnostics fees are waived completely. When we know what's wrong with your computer, we'll quote you a price to repair it. $Inquire
